The KVM 6 uses the Coriolis effect in order to determine fuel consumption. Here, a coriolis flow meter directly detects not only the mass flow of the medium, but also its density and temperature.
In combination with the integrated and high-precision fuel conditioning unit, the KVM 6 is able to deliver an accurate, continuous and dynamic measurement of the fuel consumption (massflow) during engine operation. Different interfaces, such as analog 0 – 10 V and CAN, are available to link the measuring device to the test bed environment.
The KVM 6 is completely free of non-ferrous metals. Hence, it can be used for diesel, biodiesel, gasoline, ethanol and methanol applications. The measuring system offers an integrated regulation of ingoing and outgoing pressure in the range of 20 kPa to 600 kPa.
